Maintenance of Planetary Quarantine by Devices of Detonation Automatics of Spacecraft for Missions to Mars

The results of investigation of irradiated samples of pyrotechnical elements are presented in Table. For comparison's sake the characteristics of detonation devices of the same production lot, but not irradiated by gamma-rays, are also presented. Our investigations have demonstrated that gamma-irradiation with a dose of up to (70 + 14) kGy practically does not influence basic explosive (operating) characteristics of investigated elements (UZ-2.17 and EDU-1). With such absorbed doses these elements totally preserve their capacity for work, and their characteristics do not go over the boundaries of admissible values contained in technical documentation. Thus, these articles agree with requirements of the planetary quarantine.
