Sewer construction financing and preservation of the capital invested in sewers. Selective sewer inspection at the Wolfsburg VW plant

A selective sewer inspection strategy pursuant to German In- dustrial Standard DIN EN 752, part 5, was used to document, at short notice, reliable cost and sewer condition trends for the approx. 120 kms of main sewers at the Wolfsburg VW plant. Primary inspection, which was postponed in the first instance, will then take place prior to sewer rehabilitation. By using this approach we can cut costs by approx. 75/100 and nevertheless obtain current and reliable findings as to the state of the sewer system.
