Reverse auctions ban on public sector work

Public sector clients will now be breaking the law if they carry out reverse auctions for professional services on construction projects. The news follows the implementation of EU directive 2004/18/EC into UK law, which will now make it illegal for a public sector authority to tender consultancy contracts through an online auction.
