Three in 10 to leave industry within a decade

Three in 10 current industry professionals say they will not be working in construction by 2020.rnIn an exclusive survey of more than 1,000 Construction News readers, 29 per cent said they would have left by the end of the coming decade.rnRetirement was cited by just over half of these as the reason for leaving, while 35 per cent said they would be in another industry.rnAnd one-third of all 21-to-30-year-olds who responded said theyrnwould leave construction entirely, with earning more money the biggest driver.
