CPA: industry to shrink 20% in next two years

The construction industry faces an even bleaker future than previously thought, according to new predictions by the Construction Products Association.rnThe CPA's quarterly forecast predicts a 16 per cent contraction in 2009, and a further 5 per cent contraction in 2010.rnConstruction output in 2013 will be below the level seen in 1999, while the 16 per cent fall this year will itself be a record annual contraction.
