Plans for ￡200m film studio in Home Counties

British studio owner Pinewood Shepperton this week submitted a planning application to construct a £200 million film set in Buckinghamshire, including up to 1,500 new homes. rnIt is believed the scheme, labelled Project Pinewood, will include a series of streets representing cities including New York, Paris and Venice. rnThe project would be developed on a 40 ha green belt site adjacent to the company's existing studios in Iver Heath. rnThe application was made to South Bucks District Council and also includes plans to build a primary school, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, cinema, theatre and music production facilities.
