Subcontractor sues Galliford Try over Inverness depot termination

Leeds-based specialist contractor Lanes Group has brought a claim worth at least ￡1.6 million against Galliford Try Infrastructure over a project at Inverness Train Depot. Galliford Try hired Lanes as a subcontractor for roofing work on the project, while itself acting as subcontractor to main contractor Network Rail. Barton Legal partner Bill Barton, acting on behalf of Lanes, said the case was a "classic construction claim involving wrongful determination, extensions of time, and loss and expense claims".
