Galliford Try order book betters expectations

Galliford Try has secured 91 per cent of its forecast revenue for the financial year ending 30 June 2011 after just four months of trading, compared with 79 per cent secured at the same time last year.But the firm has warned that the industry is still very competi-tive and the consequences of last month's spending review remain uncertain.A statement released to the Stock Exchange last week said: "The economic outlook remains uncertain and the full implications of the Comprehensive Spending Review on both the group's house-building and construction activities are not yet clear.
