EXPERIMENTING WITH WAVES

The new Marine Science facility at the University of Plymouth will feature two wave pools that will allow engineers to test their designs for new coastal and offshore structures. The main 'offshore' pool is 35 m long, 15 m wide and 5 m deep, and will contain 2.2 million litres of water when full. It features a moveable seabed and beach area that can mimic different bathymetric conditions.
