Opportunity knocks in low-carbon future

The government's response to the Innovation and Growth Team's Low Carbon Construction report placed innovation at the heart of its plans. Large swathes of what the government announced last week were music to manufacturers' ears. The Technology Strategy Board will award more than £37 million of funding to low-carbon projects and the Treasury has committed to a large increase in tax relief rates for research.
