CDM RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the CDM 2007 Regulations, anyone looking to employ a contractor to do work on site for more than 30 days, or 500 person days, must employ a CDM co-ordinator to advise on health and safety during the design and planning stage. A CDM co-ordinator's responsibilities include notifying the HSE about project details; co-ordinating health and safety aspects of design work; and facilitating good communication between the client, designers and contractors.
