Northern Ireland to surge ahead

Last year Northern Ireland was the worst-performing area of the UK for construction, with an 11 per cent fall in output to £2.29 billion -the lowest level since 2000. The contraction in activity in the province has been much more precipitous than the national average, as output declined by a third over a four-year period.
