Morgan Sindall set to focus on regeneration

Morgan Sindall is continuing to invest in urban regeneration but has said its fit-out business has been affected by a "lack of major project opportunities". The firm expects to continue to sell investments in PFI projects following the sale of its interest in the Dorset Fire and Rescue PFI for £3.8m earlier this year. In a trading update for the first half of the year, Morgan Sindall said its investments arm was maintaining focus on schemes attracting a project finance approach and "expects to continue to recycle capital by further sales of investments". The contractor said it expected to move into a position of average net debt this year as it increased investment in regeneration.
