New green chief urges focus on infrastructure

An infrastructure working group established under the Green Construction Board is working on a low-carbon blueprint to sit alongside Infrastructure UK's cost-cutting plan, it has been revealed. Skanska UK chief executive and president Mike Putnam - who was announced as newGCB co-chair this week - said greater focus is needed on the civils sector. Mr Putnam replaces Lend Lease global operating officer Dan Labbad in the role, in which he will work alongside construction minister Mark Prisk.
