As part of its commitment to developing high-quality courses which meet current and future needs, City & Guilds is carrying out research into the challenges faced by the construction industry. The research will take into account the 2012 Richard Review into apprenticeships and the government's Construction 2025 strategy, which will determine how to put the UK at the forefront of global construction. The Richard Review suggests apprenticeships should be more focused on employer needs and underpinned by a recognised industry standard.
