When Downwell Demolition founder and managing director Matt Phillips started the business back in 2003, he didn't imagine that 10 years later he would be running a £7m company which has survived six extremely tough trading years. "It's been a lot better in the past four to five months, the market has definitely got more buoyant and work is actually starting," he says. "It's been tough; we've had to do more work for the same money but in the past two years we've had enough work to keep busy. Now we're looking at possibly taking on more staff and buying more machines to cope with the increased demand."
