British Land sets out 2m sq ft pipeline for growing capital

British Land has set out a near-term pipeline of 2m sq ft as it forecasts growth in the London office and residential markets. In its 2013/14 results, the developer posted an 8.4 per cent increase in underlying pre-tax profits to £297m, compared with £274m in 2013. In the financial year, British Land added 1.1m sq ft of potential development to its pipeline, after it acquired 4 and 5 Kingsland Street at Paddington and agreed an option to develop at Blossom Street, Shoreditch. At Paddington, it has made improvements to the design of 4 Kingdom Street and expects to be on site by the end of the year.
