Miller wins £120m PF2 schools batch

The Education Funding Agency has selected Miller Construction as preferred bidder for the second batch of privately financed schools under the Priority School Building Programme in the North-east, worth up to £120m. The contractor has beaten Laing O'Rourke and Sir Robert McAlpine to the batch of 12 schools following a 19-week competitive dialogue period. Miller will rebuild six primary schools and six secondary schools in Durham,Gateshead, Northumberland, North Tyneside, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees and Sunderland.
