SAVING CHALLENGE

The main challenge for contractors will be to reduce build costs and develop standardised designs and techniques. Contractors on the £4bn ProCure21+ framework are already working together on cost-saving solutions for NHS projects. With a 14 per cent capital cost reduction target set by the government for NHS projects by 2015, the need for contractors to innovate and collaborate will be greater than ever.
