WYG looks to 'dominate' with acquisitions

Global consultant and project manager WYG is targeting a series of acquisitions over the next six months. Chief executive Paul Hamer (pictured) said the company had "several UK targets" in its acquisition pipeline, some of which they hope to complete in the coming months. "We want to dominate the front-end consultancy space across environment, planning and transport - across all types of infrastructure," Mr Hamer said. WYG is targeting "small, niche and high-margin" businesses that it can bolt on and integrate quickly, after securing a £25m five-year bank facility in July. It has acquired three firms over the last 15 months: Alliance Planning in September 2014; FMW Consultancy in June 2015; and North Associates in October 2015.
