Aecom confirmed as main contractor on £800m tower

Aecom has been confirmed to build the £800m Spire London tower, set to be the tallest residential development in Western Europe. Construction News revealed in April that the engineering giant was set to build the 67-storey tower in West India Quay near Canary Wharf for client Greenland Group. It is understood the firm, which had already been appointed as project manager for the scheme, beat rivals Multiplex and Balfour Beatty for the role.
