Wates scoops £150m office job in Birmingham

Wates has won a £150m contract to design and build a new office in Birmingham city centre. The contractor beat two other bidders to secure the two-stage contract at Axis Square for London and Continental Railways (LCR). Two office buildings will be delivered on the site and Wates will now start preconstruction to finalise design and agree scope and price with LCR. The plan includes retail units and the creation of new public areas.
