More than two in five listed construction and materials companies issued profit warnings in the last financial year, but none have gone under. According to consultancy EY-Parthenon, 16 listed firms in the sector issued at least one profit warning between April 2020 and March 2021; this amounted to 44 per cent of FTSE-listed construction and materials companies.
