The government is planning to cut down the number of frameworks used by departments in a move it says will help to reduce administration. A review "with a view to consolidate" was outlined in the Construction Playbook document, which sets out the vision for future public sector procurement. "We're just establishing the terms of reference at the moment," he said. "But there are several thousand frameworks out there: some are very good, some not so good.
