Construction sector death rates hit record low

The number of deaths in the construction industry fell to a record low of 30 in 2018/19, new stats from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have revealed. The total number of fatalities dropped from 38 to 30, just below the previous lowest total of 31 in 2016/17, according to the agency's provisional data.
