Poor infrastructure planmng could cost the UK almost i £20bn per year, claims an analysis by Mace. The contractor and consultancy firm said it had calculated that if major programmes continued to experience delays and cost overruns at their current rate, a combination of direct costs and delays to benefits would cost the taxpayer £l9bn per year until 2030.
