摘要

Revised plans for a £45m concert hall in Edinburgh are due to be submitted after the Sir Robert McAlpine project was paused due to a legal challenge from a neighbouring site. Significant changes to the scheme will see the venue substantially reduced in size from what was originally supposed to be a 1,000-seat hall. Following initial approval for the development by City of Edinburgh Council in April, the Dunard Centre project was put on hold in December after Nuveen, the developer of the nearby Edinburgh St James Shopping and Hotel Centre, raised legal objections to the approval. Nuveen had launched a petition for judicial review in July, arguing that the council had failed to follow proper procedures in granting planning consent.
