The Construction Industry Training Board (OTB) has suspended levy payments for at least three months.The move aims to provide financial relief to construction employers during the coronavirus crisis. All companies in the sector that meet the threshold of at least £80,000 profit annually currently pay a levy, the amount of which is set by the size of a firm's wage bill and is either 035 or 1.25 per cent of this totaLThe cash funds training in the sector, under a system approved by a vote every three years.The suspension will apply to levy payments due for 2020, which are usually paid in May. The CITB will not seek to collect these payments until August, or later if the financial effects of the virus are still being felt.
