Redeveloping one of the busiest rail stations in the country was never going to be an easy task, and a keen ambition to keep disruption to a minimum was at the heart of Pater's approach to the project. The company's remit during the works included installation of pre-cast concrete platforms; the design, supply and installation of the structural steel work and unitised roof canopies; and a bespoke structural glazing package across the platform level.
