Hailed a "smashing scheme" by the judging panel, Kilnbridge's Montgomery Bridge convincingly took this year's award. Kilnbridge was brought in to work on the construction of a bascule bridge located in Canary Wharf's new residential district, Wood Wharf, that was designed to connect the existing area with the new residential area. The project involved the construction of the 'Water Street Causeway' and both bridge abutments to enable the installation of the single-leaf bascule bridge, connecting Montgomery Street and Wood Wharf.
