"Many local building companies have demonstrated great versatility and resilience in surviving the economic storm," said Hamilton. "Increasing numbers have won major projects in Great Britain and beyond. Many of our larger construction firms have indicated over 50% of their turnover comes from projects located outside Northern Ireland. The ability of local firms to compete and win work elsewhere is evidence of the quality of our construction industry."
