摘要

Infrastructure is the only construction sector that has both grown over the past two years and is anticipated to do so over the next five years. Growth across the sub-sectors but especially within the water & sewerage, roads and rail sectors drove infrastructure expansion during 2008 and 2009 despite the recession. Looking forward, growth in rail and energy, with additional growth near term from water & sewerage, should not only offset falls in output within the roads sub-secton but also drive sector growth throughout the forecast period.
