European transport policy is currently being reviewed by the Commission, and it is encouraging to note that the value of an efficient and modern network is being recognised. However, FIEC is concerned that the problem of funding is not being addressed.rnA range of transportrnissues are currently under the spotlight in Brussels. TheCommission is working on policies for urban mobility, the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) and the EU transport policy in general. It is looking at these in terms of the needs of both passengers and freight, and is considering issues of logistics and the potential of intelligent transport systems (ITS).
