Central, Eastern Europe to lead recovery

Central and Eastern European countries are set to be the engine for construction growth in 2011 and beyond, but the next 12 months will see flat output as the Euro-zone continues the battle to recover from recession, according to Euroconstruct. The economic forecasting group said it expected European construction output to fall by a marginal -0,1% in 2011 - an essentially flat result that would position the region for a moderate recovery in 2012 and beyond. And according to the group's December forecasts, output is expected to rise +2,0% in 2012 and this wil be followed by a further +2,5% increase in 2013.
