In any market segment, the aftersales service is key, and this is especially so in a time when finance is tight and a decision to buy a new machine is going to be very carefully considered before any action is taken. At manufacturer VF Venieri, the availability of spare parts is an important element of its strategy, and it has a separate building at its factory site at Lugo, in the Italian region of Emilio Romagna, just for this purpose. Dina Tazzari, who heads up the spare parts service, said, "We have two stores - one for manufacturing and one for spares. Spare parts are very important for us and our customers." While probably best known for its backhoe loaders, Venieri also makes a variety of different wheeled loaders from 40kW to 130kW, including the VF 263B Plus and the VF 7.63B. Filippo Muccinelli Venieri, business director, said it was not a huge company and that it concentrated on quality not numbers.
