FIEC calls for EU Commissioner

The European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC) has used an EU Commission high level conference to make a range of suggestions, including a call for the introduction of a specific EU-Commissioner for all issues directly linked to construction. FIEC president Thomas Schleicher said the introduction of an EU Construction Commissioner could help better co-ordinate the different public administration services in Europe.
