Swedish contractor Flygts Excavation &Transport was having issues emptying wet clay, which is sticky and heavy, from standard 25 tonne lift-and-tip ADTs, and Caterpillar stepped in to provide a solution. The manufacturer offered a 730 ADT with ejector body for a one year rental with the option to buy at the end and deduct the rental cost from the purchase price. The 730 Ejector is designed to release a full load with no remaining material. The shape of the ejector blade matches the inside of the body, pushing the entire load back as it moves. Swedish dealer PON also worked with Flygts to create a bespoke high, hinged tailgate to cover the entire rear of the ejector body to stop the wet clay from slipping out on an incline.
