Aproject to construct a seven-floor commercial building in August-Fischer place in the Bavarian town of Kempten, Germany, reported significant cost saving; on materials after adopting new technology for reinforcing concrete. Lead contractor Xaver Riebel Construction opted to use rolls of Bamtec prefabricated rebar, instead of laying out and interweaving individual rebar elements, and said it expected to save 200 tonnes of steel.
