Italian construction equipment association Unacea has recorded a 6% growth in sales of Italian construction equipment in the first quarter of 2017, compared to the corresponding quarter in 2016. According to the figures, 2,094 units were sold in total, of which 2,005 were earthmoving machines and 89 were road machines. The greatest increase was seen in road machines, sales of which grew by 17%, while sales of earthmoving machines rose by 6% overall. Paolo Venturi, president of Unacea, said, "The market is growing but on a lower level compared to last year."
