France protects weaker contracting partners

new French Civil Code -which is being described as the most important reform known in France since 1804 - has entered into force on 1 October, 2016, and most of the new provisions have been inserted in order to protect the weaker contracting party. The relevance of French law is therefore not limited to all parties conducting business in France. In fact, many international contracts are governed by French law.
