Debut for new Doosan excavators

Doosan is introducing a new crawler excavator designed to meet the continually growing demand for reduced radius operation near buildings and in confined areas. The arm and bucket cylinders of the DX235LCR are sized to provide enhanced excavating force. Digging force over the bucket is 12.8US tons (14.2tonnes), while that over the arm is 9.29US tons (10.3tonnes). Use of power boost increases both forces by about 5%, claimed by Doosan to be the highest forces of any excavator in this class. Provision of high engine power and high swing torque allows the DX235LCR to work efficiently on slopes. The swing speed is 11.3rpm. Power comes from a six-cylinder Doosan turbo-charged diesel engine. The DS235LCR has an operating weight of 21.3US tons (23.6tonnes) and a maximum digging depth of 21feet lOinches (6.67m). The dump height is 26feet (7.9m), while the maximum digging reach is 32feet 2inches (9.82m).
