Now two years old, the 114SD (shown) and 108SD severe-duty models, with large- and medium-bore Detroit and Cummins diesels, are making Freightliner a bigger player in vocational markets. Coronado SD long conventional is the premium severe-duty offering and is available with Detroit and Cummins big-bore diesels. The 114SD has featured the Cummins Westport ISL-G engine for nearly a year, and the M2-112 with the ISL-G has been popular in trash and public utility markets. V (for vocational) versions of the M2-112 and M2-106have been phased out. Freightliner actively markets glider-kit versions of many models with and without powertrain components.
