The Case PT240 pneumatic-tire compactor is an eight-wheeled machine with a 99-horsepower turbo-charged engine that can operate on grades up to 25 degrees and on materials with higher rolling resistance, the company says. It features hydrostatic steering, independent axles, and a four-plus-four tire configuration with two-inch tire overlap. The machine also offers automotive-style controls with left- and right-side operating positions for optimal sight lines and control. The PT240 has a compaction width of 78 inches.
