Terramac Adds Rotating Upper Frame

The new Terramac RT14R is the first of the company's crawler carrier models to feature an upper frame that rotates 360 degrees, allowing the operator "to off-load material in an efficient, precise, and safe manner," says the company. According to Terramac, the RT14R can carry and dump up to 28,000 pounds of material at any position, even while being driven. This feature, says the company, allows the new carrier to unload material faster than a straight-frame model, because the tracks need not be counter-rotated to position the unit-thus minimizing ground disturbance and track wear. The rotating frame also significantly reduces the necessity to drive the machine in reverse, says Terramac, a plus for safety.
