The Caterpillar 816 landfill compactor dates back to 1972; its latest iteration, the 816K, takes the product up to Tier 4-Final, and features available technologies for telematics and more accurate compaction. Caterpillar's 816K is designed with heavy-duty main structures to support multiple life cycles, and has a Cat C7.1 ACERT engine, single-lever steering, pressurized cab, and wheel/tip options meant to extend service life.
