Dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP) can contribute to the alternative disposal of polyethylene terephthalate due to its liquid form and high electrical resistance. In this study, the acid, sulfate and salt resistance of DOTP cement mortar (DOCEM) was analyzed, using an orthogonal array, and compared with other polymers. The most remarkable result was that, in DOCEMs exposed to a sodium sulfate solution, the 28-day compressive strength gain was 10.44%. The most successful polymers were determined to be polyvinylchloride for sulfuric acid resistance, with a recovery rate of 80.46%, and polypropylene for hydrochloric acid resistance, with a recovery rate of 96.03% in comparison to polyethylene terephthalate and polyvinylchloride, respectively.
