Many upscale properties globally have begun implementing a strategy of putting advanced home-theater platforms into their rooms and suites, in some cases integrating them with business and telephony technologies that nicely mimic the way the culture is moving: Your home office and home theater are steps away from each other. "Business travel is rebounding, and the business traveler we're seeing today emerging from a recessionary economy brings new expectations of what a hotel needs to be," says Robin Mackay, his viscous Scots brogue tempered by 20-plus years working in the Chicago headquarters of the Hyatt International Corp., which oversees Hyatt properties outside North America.
