PureCircle signs agreement to expand stevia production

Ingredient company PureCircle's South American branch has entered into a contract with the Cooperativa Colonias Unidas (CCU), a leading Paraguayan farmers' co-operative, for the production and supply of stevia leaf.rnThe two parties will cooperate in the production of proprietary varieties of stevia. PureCircle plans to accelerate the expansion of its production capacity, initially with a new stevia extraction facility in Paraguay, with work expected to start early in 2011.
