Moving into the height of summer for us here in the northern hemisphere, many within the confectionery sector will be taking a well-earned break as manufacturing cycles temporarily wind down. As for the team here at Confectionery Production, our work continues apace with plenty to report upon from across the global sector. Firstly, my trip to visit Toblerone's headquarters in Switzerland (pages 14-16), offered up some excellent insights on a brand with more than 100 years of heritage. Secondly, travelling to the US reporting on the particularly eventful Sweets and Snacks Expo in Chicago (pages 18-23), also revealed numerous product developments.
