AMEC's specialist piling divi-sion has just completed the foundation package at the New Scottish Parliament building in Edinburgh. The division was awarded the £1.7m trade package by Bovis Lend Lease to provide a temporary retaining system around the site. This system combined an anchored hard/soft secant piled wall and canti-levered contiguous piled wall.
